Stanislaus Zbyszco
Real Name: Stan Cyganiewicz

A noted intellectual, having studied music, philosophy and law in his native Vienna, Austria, Stanislaus Zbyszco (real name - Stan Cyganiewicz) first found success in Professional Wrestling when he traveled to the United States in 1909. After winning over 1,000 matches, he was defeated in a very controversial bout with Frank Gotch.

After losing most of his wealth during World War I, he returned to the United States and defeated Ed "the Strangler" Lewis for the World Heavyweight Title in 1921. He subsequently retired in 1925 and died in Missouri in 1967.

Stanislaus Zbyszco was one of the true legends of Professional Wrestling's early years.
